Premises of manufacturers of clay roofing tiles searched

In response to enquiries the Bundeskartellamt confirmed today that it has conducted several searches on the premises of manufacturers of clay roofing tiles. The Bundeskartellamt has been informed of anti-competitive agreements in the market for roof tiles. Against this background and based on a decision of the Bonn local court, the business premises of eight leading manufacturers of clay roof tiles were searched today. The German building material markets have repeatedly been affected by cartel agreements, which is why the Bundeskartellamt is always closely monitoring this sector.
